KATE - THE TAMING OF THE SHREW (*)
|
 |
| A flamboyant Italian
animated updating of Shakespeare’s classic tale. Petrucchio is a
young man ruined by gambling, who, to get out of debt has the great idea
of marrying a rich woman - Kate, the daughter of a spaghetti industrialist
from Padua. But he finds himself up against the proud and independent
character of a modern woman, and when the two meet it’s a clash
of fireworks. This vivid film is made entirely of paper, using sophisticated
and meticulous stop-motion techniques.
