When six-year old Nansal finds an abandoned puppy in the
Mongolian veld, she knows it is up to her to save its life.
Her hopes of having a new playmate are crushed however when
her nomad family believe the dog will bring bad luck on
them, and want to leave it behind when they move camp. Now
only the puppy can save its own life, by proving its loyalty
to its adopted family when they need it most in a time of
unforeseen danger. Starring a real-life family, this gentle
and beautiful film is both a story of childhood conflicts,
and a fascinating insight into Mongolian nomad culture.
