Based on the true and heart-warming story of one man’s
faithful dog, this version might well have a happier ending
– but don’t say we spoiled it for you! Ewan,
a lonely young boy, befriends Scottish Terrier Bobby, little
imagining that the dog’s adventures will make them
both famous. Starring Gina McKee, Greg Wise and Christopher
Lee, and introducing Oliver Golding as Ewan.
UK 2005 Dir. John Henderson 103 min.

from the LCFF's First Light Young
Jury:
Greyfriars Bobby is a film about a dog who loves
his owner who’s a policeman who dies. Bobby has to
fight for his life. My favourite scene is when the dog goes
into the cemetery (to visit his owner’s grave), gets
kicked out, comes back, gets kicked out, comes back, gets
kicked out… My favourite character is Bobby, because
he’s got spirit!

Bobby the dog is my favourite character because of how they
trained the 5 dogs (who played Bobby) to get him to, for
example, pee at the right time. This film is a U but should
be a PG because it has some scary moments.
