Love + Hate

Award winning director Dominic Savage sets this poignant,
modern love story in a town in the north of England seething
with racial tension. Adam has grown up in an atmosphere
of bigotry and suspicion both at home and in the wider community,
while in the same town, Naseema belongs to a new generation
of Asian youth that sees violence as a means to secure their
place in society. However, when Adam and Naseema start working
together in a DIY store, a mutual attraction is irresistible.
The relationship challenges the indoctrination, hatred and
prejudices of these around them and the couple must fight
to find happiness.
UK 2005, dir. Dominic Savage, 86 min. Momentum Pictures.
