Vicky, a successful young ballerina, struggles to come
to terms with the pressure of dancing and her love for a
talented composer. But she is driven to a tragic end by
her red shoes that seem to be possessed by a strange magic.
The Red Shoes was not made for children, but it has
intrigued and enchanted generations of young ballet-lovers
since it was first released 57 years ago. Starring ballerina
Moira Shearer in her first screen role, and filled with
extraordinary costumes and sets, the film is a ravishing,
visual and emotional treat for families.
