The inspiring true story of 15-year-old Simon Jackson,
founder of the Spirit Bear Youth Coalition, who took on
the Canadian forestry industry to protect the threatened
habitat of the endangered white kermode bear in British
Columbia. Undeterred by intimidation from big business,
Simon gained support for his campaign from both adults and
children, celebrities and politicians. An amazing and inspiring
tale of a teenager whose idealism and passion achieved outstanding
success. At the Toronto ‘Sprockets’ children’s
film festival Spirit Bear was the winner of the
Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film – chosen
from over eighty children’s films.
