PREVIOUSLYWhilst we were in Kyoto we stayed in a traditional Japanese inn that one of Asahi's friends recommended. Akira Kurosawa, the director of Seven Samurai and Rashomon, used to stay there whilst he was working on scripts. It was pretty inexpensive for a ryokan, and the decor had a really nice 70's feel to it. The owners were very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious... |
